About Sahil Mehta

Sahil Mehta is an Indian film and web-series actor from New Delhi, recognised for his performances across acclaimed streaming originals and mainstream Hindi cinema, including Tabbar (2021), Good Luck Jerry (2022), Raksha Bandhan (2022), Farrey (2023), The Waking of a Nation (2025), Loot Kaand (2025) and Son of Sardaar 2 (2025).

Sahil began his artistic journey with VAYAM, the theatre society of Shivaji College, where he developed a strong foundation in acting and performance. Before entering films, he appeared in national and international campaigns for leading brands such as Swiggy, OLX, UPI Chalega, Parle, Doublemint, Subway, Junglee Rummy, Sony MAX, GMC Arabia, Quikr, and Crax Fritts, building a strong on-camera presence early in his career. His first film-set experience came with a brief appearance in Hindi Medium (2017), which introduced him to the world of mainstream cinema.

His breakthrough arrived with Ajitpal Singh’s Tabbar (SonyLIV), where his performance as Tegi drew significant praise and marked him as one of the promising new talents in the OTT space. Sahil transitioned into mainstream films with Siddharth Sen’s Good Luck Jerry, playing Jigar opposite Janhvi Kapoor, followed by Aanand L. Rai’s Raksha Bandhan, where he portrayed Gaffar alongside Akshay Kumar. He then starred in Soumendra Padhi’s Farrey (Salman Khan Films), playing a central lead opposite Alizeh Agnihotri in her debut film.

Alongside commercial cinema, Sahil has also been part of festival-recognised shorts such as Birha and Gair (Pariah), which travelled to prestigious international festivals including NYIFF, LAFA, and Hollywood Shorts Fest.

In 2025, Sahil appeared in two major long-form projects: Ram Madhvani’s The Waking of a Nation, where he played Ali Allahbaksh, and Loot Kaand for Amazon MX Player, directed by Ruchir Arun and co-starring Tanya Maniktala. He also stars in Son of Sardaar 2 (2025), produced by Ajay Devgn Films, Jio Studios and Panorama Studios, now streaming on Netflix, where he plays the central character Goggi.
